Hero’s Journey: Mulan

Hello everyone!

Today’s hero’s journey is Mulan, a Disney character from the movie by the same name. She disguises herself as a man in the army in order to save her father from being hurt.

Mulan learns many things on her journey, most meaningful being that family is more important than anything. She saves the Emperor and brings honor to her family.

Hero’s Journey: Mrs. Incredible

Hello Everyone!

With Mother’s Day in mind, our Hero’s Journey of this week will be Helen Parr, otherwise known as Elastigirl and Mrs. Incredible.

Mrs. Incredible can stretch every part of her body and is extremely flexible. She marries Mr. Incredible right before the government makes all the superheroes go into hiding. They have three children: Violet, Dash, and Jack-Jack.

She is an amazing mother and cares for her children very much and helps save her husband when he gets capture by Syndrome.

Here is her hero’s journey!

Hero’s Journey: Tony Stark

Hello Everyone!

Well, tonight’s the night I’m going to see Iron Man. After I see the movie, I will write up the hero’s journey for Tony Stark (a.k.a. Iron Man) and post it in here.

Z is for Zuko

Well, it’s the final post in our ABC Hero’s Journey list.

Our final hero’s journey is one of my favorite characters from my absolute favorite show, Avatar: The Last Airbender. I thought it’d be nice to finish how we started.

Prince Zuko is the banished Fire Nation prince. He has a scar on the left side of his face, a scar he received from his own father before his banishment. Zuko is sent to search for the Avatar.

Y is for Yul Brenner

Hello gang!cool-runnings.jpg

Well, after today there’s only one left. Today’s hero’s journey is Yul Brenner.

Yul is a character from the movie Cool Runnings. The movie centers around a group of Jamaican men who have a very great desire to represent their country in the Olympics. The only way to do this after three of them are tripped in a qualifying round is to go as the first Jamaican bobsled teams.

Here is his hero’s journey.

X is for Professor Xavier

Hello everyone!

We’re down to the final three. Today’s hero’s journey is for Professor Xavier of the X-men. The X-men are mutants that have special powers. Some can fly, some can turn into metal and others, like Professor Xavier can read and control minds.

Professor Xavier has led the X-men and their pursuit to fight evil mutants and keep the peace between mutants and humans.

W is for Will Stronghold

Today’s “W” is Will Stronghold.

will-stronghold.jpg

Will Stronghold is a character from the movie Sky High and one I’d highly recommend by the way. It shows him going to Sky High, a high school made for superheroes to learn how to use their powers. Will doesn’t have any powers at the beginning of the film and he is put into the “Hero Support” program, otherwise known as sidekick class.

Here is his hero’s journey.

V is for Violet Parr

V is today’s letter and today’s hero’s journey is Violet Parr.violet.jpg

Violet is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Incredible. She’s very shy and doesn’t like to talk too much. She doesn’t seem to fit in, but that’s partly because she has superpowers.

Here is her hero’s journey.

U is for Uub

Hello everyone! Happy Thursday!

Today we have Uub, a hero from the manga (which is pretty much a Japanese comic book) and TV shows, Dragonball Z and Dragonball GT. He becomes one of the most powerful fighters with the help of Goku, the most accomplished warrior in the Dragonball universe.

So today’s hero’s journey is for Tibby, a character from the movie (which is also a book) The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants. It’s all about four girls who have very different personalities yet have remained friends since they were born.
