A is for Aang
Today we start the Hero Alphabet and we start with a character from the TV Show Avatar: The Last Airbender.
This is Aang. In his world, there are four different nations: the Water Tribe, Earth Kingdom, Fire Nation, and the Air Nomads. Each nation can control their specific element by way of “bending.”
Aang is the Avatar and he is capable of bending all four elements. There is only one Avatar alive at a time and it is his or her job to keep the balance and peace between the four nations.
Aang needs to save the world from the evil Fire Lord and although he is very powerful, it’s not his ability to control all the elements that makes him a hero. He is loyal, honest, and cares deeply for all people and all living things and that’s what maks him a hero to so many. He never gives up.
